The explosives training
In October and November 2022, training courses on the characteristics and properties of explosives were carried out for 153 officers of Kuyavian-Pomeranian Police units as a part of project called ”Specialized training as an opportunity to increase effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in the fight against organized crime”.
The tree-day training consisted of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the training covered the following topics:
- basic concepts and definitions in the field of explosives/articles;
- legal regulations concerning explosives/substances;
- analysis of events related to explosive materials and devices that have taken place in the word;
- identification of explosives and improvised explosive devices, assessment of potential threat;
- proceedings in the case of disclosure of explosives, taking into account the algorithms of operation of relevant services/institutions.
After acquiring theoretical knowledge, each training participant could verify their knowledge during practical classes at the training ground.
Training was financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the state budget as a part of the “Internal Affairs” Program. The program remains at the disposal of the Minister of the Interior and Administration.
The training was carried out by the Waldemar Krawczyk Forensic Services in Legionowo.
