Improving driving techniques
The training on improving driving techniques was held for 35 road traffic officers from Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in July and August 2023 as part of the project „Specialized training as an opportunity to increase effectiveness of law enforcement agencies in the fight against organised crime”.
The project has been financed with Norwegian Financial Mechanism`s means and a state budget within the programme „Internal Affairs”. The programme is under supervision of Interior and Administration Ministry.
The classes included both theoretical issues and practical exercises on the track. The training participants expanded their knowledge of the following topics: driving position, its impact on driving safety and proper maneuvering, safe driving techniques and its aspects, car behaviour trends depending on its technical structure and taking into account the tendency to understeer and oversteer, dangerous situations, way of reacting, driver’s behaviour, safety systems, impact of delayed action depending on the wear of some vehicle components. Then they had the opportunity to practice the acquired knowledge on the track, improving road driving techniques in the face of emerging obstacles, on slippery surfaces and when skidding.
The training was carried out by the Polish Motor Association in Bydgoszcz.
